Sebastian López-Lehto (born 1988 in Jyväskylä, Finland) is a choreographer-dancer-teacher who holds an MA in choreography and a BA in Dance from the Arts University Helsinki. He has also studied Political Science and Sosiology in the University of Jyväskylä.
He gratuated from the choreography program in 2018 with a thesis written and artistic work done around the concept of oceanic feeling in relation to somatic dance practises. In the workoceanic feeling is understood as a momentary experience of self-boundary dissolution and a more general existential orientation characterized as underlying feeling of connectedness, of openness of possibilities and of being held. The topic of bodily and choreographic practises as constituting self-world relationship is for him still of great interest. How can somatic practises make the world more real?
