Dissolving/reatreating explores the experience of dissolution and the ability to focus in thItat turmoil through spinning and the ancient intrument bull roarer. It drew from experience of incomprehension in awe/terror. I was also in the making of the polyvagal theory/theory around trauma and the very relatable descriptions of a state of "dorsal vagal collapse". I drew from the functionality, form and kinesthetics of the bull roarer and the the symbol of the ouroboros. Within a circle of timeless awe/terror grandiosity can take the form of fulfillment or annihilitation.
