I work with enhancing body awareness through experiential anatomy. It means getting to know one´s body through experiencing onesel with anatomical knowledge, palpations, visualisation and moving. I draw from the so called "release technique" with it´s roots in the work of Mabel Todd, Lulu Sweigard and Barbara Clark. My aim is to cultivate a sense of integrity and experience of authenticity in movement.
To create novel and interesting moving experiences I also work with Contact Improvisation.
PERFORMANCE IMPROVISATION
I have a deep interest in improvising in performance structures. I feel especially performance structures that have to do with the body in relationship to space, time and a sense of a "compositional something" have a huge possibility in finding organized and motivated movement, expression and being. Especially with a group of people and their attunement to each others.
The improvisation practises that I draw for and study in my work are among others the work of Katie Duck, Ruth Zaporah and the principles of the Viewpoints method.
MOVING AND BEING MOVED
I facilitate spaces that explore a relationship to the body where the body and it´s senses can be the guiding force to movement. My sense is that practises that enable a possibility for the wisdow and beauty of the body to emerge have deep and positive effect in overall well-being. The practises that I explore and draw from include the Continuum method and Authentic movement.
CAPOEIRA
I have a very strong backround in capoeira. I´ve been practising capoeira for the last 23 years and teaching for 15. I consider capoeira a great technology for connection with it´s beautiful techniques and communal musicking.
